Monte Carlo

Development, validation and application of stochastic modelling
of human exposure to food chemicals and nutrients.

Montecarlo is a research project, funded by the Quality of Life and Living Resources Programme (QoL), Key Action 1 on Health, Food and Nutrition within the Fifth Framework Programme of the EU Commission (DG XII).

The project duration is 3 years, with a start date of February 1st, 2000. There are 7 partners involved in Montecarlo, with IEFS being the co-ordinator.

The Monte Carlo resulted in a follow on project called CREME which was funded by Enterprise Ireland. The CREME project has resulted in a company being formed called CREMe Software Ltd which supplies advanced exposure assessment software and consultancy.
